In celebration of the launch of the newest zany escapades of The Penguins of Madagascar
Operation: DVD Premiere from Nickelodeon, General Mills is introducing specially marked packages that include collectible Penguin Launchers inside!

Each special package contains one of five character launchers, along with special mission details on the rear panel of the box.  Mission participants include:  Skipper, Rico, Kowalski, Private and King Julien.

Your mission:  to collect each of the five, zany characters to complete your team!  

As a member of MyBlogSpark, I was given an opportunity to review a package of General Mills Trix Fruitalicious Swirls cereal, complete with two penguin launchers, as well as the new Penguins of Madagascar DVD.

Our family has long been fans of General Mills cereals, but we have never tried the Trix Swirl before.  My son loves it!  He asks for it each time we compile a grocery list now!  That's okay with me as I appreciate that Trix is made with whole grains and calcium!

Of course, the Penguins antics on the DVD were also positively received!  As a family, we've thoroughly enjoyed the Madagascar feature films and I was pleased by this newest installment.  Often disappointed with other "adventures" beyond original films, I found Operation: DVD Premiere to be fresh, funny and entertaining.  I was pleased that King Julien, my favorite character, was included in the cast.Kudos to Nickelodeon! 

My son enjoyed carrying out the penguin launcher missions, which are Mom (no mess) friendly and appropriate for a range of ages.
Some examples are:

• Dive In, Soldier - Set an empty plastic cereal bowl on the table and try to pop your launcher into it. Wear a helmet or you´ll be squid bait.


• Longest Propulsion Launcher - Challenge your troops to see who can launch their character the furthest. Go long or go back to the zoo.


• Target Practice - Create a landing zone with a spoon and try to strategically drop your character into the sweet spot. Hit the target or go back to the drawing board.


• Clear the Wall - Do you have enough projectile pop to push your launcher over the top of the box? Proceed launchin´ troops, earn those wings!
