Sorry! Sliders Disney Pixar Cars 2 Edition Game Review & Giveaway

While we welcome the lazy days of school break at my house, we are always looking for fun kid games and activities for summertime.  I also have three nephews with summer birthdays, so finding great gifts for boys is also high on my list.

When you find a kids game featuring the hottest new movie, you know you've found a winner on both counts!

As you might imagine, my "in house" toy testing crew was thrilled to be given the job of reviewing the Sorry! Sliders Disney Pixar Cars 2 Edition Game from Hasbro!

The experts' view:

Cars 2 Sorry! Sliders is super cool!  I've played regular Sorry! and like that game, but this one is so much better!  The board is a racetrack!  I like how the guys (playing pieces) have Cars face on them.  My favorite guy is Lightening McQueen.  The really fun part about Cars 2 Sorry! Sliders is that you are actually racing the other cars.  You also get to pick where to put the obstacles. If you play this game a lot, you might want to put some padding on your flicking finger.

I thought this game was wonderful.  We do have a regular edition Sorry! game, as well as a Disney Princess edition, but Hasbro really revved up the racing theme for the Cars 2 edition!  Even though the racetrack is very detailed, it actually is only comprised of eight pieces that were easy to assemble.  I liked the ability to customize the race track with plenty of options for placing obstacles.  Like my son, after a full game or two of enthusiastic racing (and flicking!) my flicker finger was feeling it.  I do recommend arming yourself for the big race with a bit of padding to keep your racing with the best of them.  A character bandage would make fantastic racing "gear"!
