Express Yourself with Sparkle ~ Bling Jewels Review & Giveaway

Another beauty introduction from Lisa Cocuzza's It's A Glam Thing!

Going out on the town or to a special event is a perfect way to give yourself the excuse to pamper.  You should never neglect to show off your locks and what better way to do that than add some sparkle, some bling to your fabulous up do or style?

Enter Bling Jewels ~ a wonderful final touch to any hairstyle!

Bling Jewels will add sophistication and dazzle to your hair just like diamonds.

Jewels should be attached to finished hairstyles. Perfect for brides, prom, and formal up-do's and even gives sparkle to your everyday hairstyle.

Whether you are looking to glam up a formal look or add some color to finish your funky style, Bling Jewels, made with genuine Czech crystals, are a perfect addition to ensure you are noticed!

Simply add the Bling Jewel strands to your finished style with a flat iron for a long lasting sparkle.  (Be certain to keep your enclosed instructions for simplifying removal ~ a little tricky at first, but easier after the first!)

Choose from a wide variety of colors to coordinate your style:
3 different diamond options,
2 shades of amethyst,
sapphire  and pink or blue topaz!

Predictably, my daughter and her friends loved experimenting with Bling Jewels and plan to glam up with them for their next formal.

(Fortunately, and narrowly, my son escaped being sparkled up, much to the giggling packs disappointment)

Looking to glam up your tresses?  You're in luck!

Something's Cooking ~ Guest Post

Something's Cooking On Satellite TV

Frozen Key Lime Bar ~ Heather Hurlburt
Guest written by our friend Trent Horton

Baking, for me, was always something of a spectator sport. I was never part of the process, but I sure did enjoy the results. In recent years, however, I've tried my hand at baking. It isn't something I do often, but it is something I do relatively well, arguably.

So when Bravo announced the latest addition to the Top Chef series, “Top Chef: Just Desserts,” I'll admit my interest was piqued. Having followed several of the other Top Chef series on directv HD DVR Deals , I came into the series with high expectations, and Bravo really delivered. The cast had personality and talent ! to spare, and the challenges were creative and challenging. Even these chefs, experts in their field, found themselves struggling through some of the challenges. It was fascinating to see how innovative these ladies and gents could be improvising in tough situations.
Strawberry Cuatro Leches Shortcake ~ Luisana S.

While it's not a baking show in the strictest since, as several types of desserts were included in the challenges, there were several baking-oriented challenges. A baker amongst pastry chefs, Eric Wolitzky started baking in his teens, and while he was relatively inexperienced in some areas compared to other contestants, he made a strong showing and even managed a victory or two.

All in all, it was a great addition to the Top Chef brand, and I look forward to the next season.

I am a huge Bravo fan and enjoy all the versions of Top Chef.  Nothing tempts or motivates me more to be creative in the kitchen than watching (in awe) the phenomenal  dishes offered by the pros!  Dessert images credit to Bravo's Top Chef Just Desserts website.Compensated post.

The Love Expert is In! Advise from Patti Stanger of Millionaire Matchmaker Opportunity

I'm certain you are all familiar with relationship expert/matchmaker extraordinaire, Patti Stanger of Bravo's Millionaire Matchmaker.  I simply adore her non-nonsense approach!  She's a straight-shooter with a tender heart, who brings expert advise, common sense and, the all important, humor to the table when helping the lonely find the right match (not to mention, the right attitude!)

Wouldn't it be wonderful if you could ask Patti your own relationship questions and receive her expert advise?

You are in luck!  Now is your chance!

Leave your questions about love or friendship here in a comment or tweet them to me @tsue1136 and @pattistanger with a link to this post for a chance to have Patti answer your questions in an upcoming video from Alloy TV.

Readers may also enjoy soon to release film, Something Borrowed, set for release on May 6th!

Something Borrowed, based upon the best selling novel by Emily Griffin, stars Ginnifer Goodwin, Kate Hudson, John Krasinski and Colin Egglesfield.
In the movie Something Borrowed, Rachel and Darcy’s lifelong friendship collides with true love, when perpetual good girl Rachel unexpectedly ends up in bed with the guy she’s had a crush on since law school, Dex…who just happens to be Darcy’s fiancĂ©!  This leads to unexpected complications and potentially explosive romantic revelations in all of their relationships….

It's A Glam Thing ~ Creative Professional Hair Tools Giveaway

Create Ceramic Ionic Hair Dryer
Tools for the art of hairstyling

Creative Soy Hydrating Shampoo

Creative Professional creates and designs superior, salon quality styling tools, from Ceramic Ionic Hairdryers to all manner of cleaning, conditioning and styling products, as well as professional brushes and combs.

I was given an opportunity to try one of their Handmade Tortoise Combs.

Each of our handmade combs is sawed from a single sheet of high quality Italian produced cellulos acetate, with teeth gently rounded. There are no burrs to catch and break hair, causing split ends. Ordinary combs are molded from inferior plastic and have burrs and jagged seams between the teeth that break and damage hair, making it dull and lifeless.

The quality, workmanship and strength of the Creative combs is immediately evident.  While I always use combs on my wet hair, I do prefer them to brushes during the winter months (oh, the stories I could tell you about the love affair between my hair and static electricity!)  With lesser quality, run of the mill combs, wear along the tooth edge begins quickly, snaring hair and causing breakage.   The Creative Tortoise combs will retain their smooth edged teeth making it a must have for your collection of hair tools.

***GIVEAWAY***
Courtesy of Creative Professional Hair Tools and Lisa Cocuzza of It's A Glam Thing, one of my readers will win a Creative Tortoise Comb of their own!

Scandle ~ A Candle Never Felt So Good Review

There's been quite a bit excitement here at That's What She Said in regard to pampering one's Valentine.  I hope all my readers were pampered beyond compare a few weeks ago!

Now that the flowers have wilted or the warm glow from a special night out has faded, it is so important to continue the pampering.  We deserve it, don't we!

And therein lies the challenge... how to keep the flame burning.

Fortunately, Scandle offers a marvelous solution:
the Scandle Massage Oil Candle!

The Scandle Body Massage Candle is a fragrant hand-poured body massage candle that, when burned, melts to create a healthy body massage oil that can be used to enhance the healthy of your skin. Not only, is The Scandle Body Massage Candle healthy for your skin, but it is also healthy for the environment...emitting less soot and toxins into the environment than parrafin candles.
Most graciously, I was given an opportunity to test the Scandle Shimmering Body Candle, in Sugar Kisses.  Hmmmm - simply delightful!

Made of a unique combination of both soy wax and lotion, including all the benefits of soy while eliminating the 'heaviness' of pure soy wax alternatives, Scandle leaves your skin hydrated and glowing!

This was my first experience with a massage candle and, although a bit hesitant at first, my husband and I found our Scandle massages enchanting.  The candle burns at only two degrees above body temperature, certainly not too hot, but warm enough to be sooth and relax.  The scent was divine and you can be assured that our Scandle massage candle will get used often!

Beyond the physical benefits of a luxurious, aromatic massage, the Scandle Candle offerings are home spa products that you can feel good about indulging in!  Scandle, a member of PETA's Caring Consumer program, offers products that contain 100% natural ingredients, vegan friendly and cruelty free!

Scandle offers eco-friendly refillable ceramic cannisters, Scandle candles in a wide variety of enchanting scents, as well as other home spa products, such as the Scandle Sea Salt Soak & Scrub.

Purchase your own Scandle Massage Candle to keep the pampering going from the Scandle Candle online store!

***Special for readers***

Just leave a comment here with your thoughts or favorite scent, then enter 5 bonus entries in any giveaway with the phrase "Scandle Bonus"!

Pamper Your Peepers with Eye Candy Coolers ~ Review & Giveaway

Have you ever just had "one of those days"?
Sure you have.  I have them all the time!

The kind in which you wake up late,

notice your kid only has one shoe on or is in some other ridiculous state as you're rushing them out the door to school,

spill your coffee all over yourself on the way to work,

receive a  (surprize!) deadline adjustment to NOW while you're at work,

realize you've overbooked yourself for the evening with not two, but three conflicting school/sports/extra-curricular meetings,

and then, just when you've nearly gotten the kids through their homework and off to bed, when you'll finally have a few moments to untangle your nerves before bed....

"What do you mean, you need a Black Forest Torte Cake for your presentation at school tomorrow?!?"

Ooooh, yes.  Welcome to our worlds, am I right?

I will not suggest that Eye Candy Coolers will be as effective as a day at the spa or having a personal assistant...

(where's the sign up sheet for that, I'd like to know!)

however,  if you're having one of those days or are suffering from allergies, headache, life, Eye Candy Coolers are a quick, easy and soothing solution!

What is an Eye Candy Cooler?  Think of them as a portable mini-spa.  Sold in pairs, the soft gel rounds are 2.5" in diameter and come in a handy storage pouch.  Pop them in the fridge, freezer or glass of cold ice water to chill, then apply to closed eyes for quick, soothing relief of what ails you!

I know!  What could be handier?
I was fortunate to be given an opportunity to test out a set of Eye Candy Coolers.  Let me just say, my set is always chilling and at the ready.   With the exception of when my daughter snags them.  With allergy season fast approaching, I really need to order another set for her, one for work....

Where can you get your own set?

Quick as a couple clicks at the Eye Candy website!  Only $10 for a set of two!

Choose from the adorable cucumber set,  Sugared Ice Blue, Tart n' Tangy Tangerine or Cotton Candy Pink.

A perfect gift for anyone,  for any occasion, at a price that any shopper can appreciate, be certain to put Eye Candy Coolers on your must shop list!  Better yet,
Eye Candy Coolers donates a portion of all proceeds to breast cancer research!
