Support Brave Women ~ Help Spread The Word ~ #BraveWoman Twitter Party #CBias

As part of my family's ongoing commitment to increase our community outreach and support of causes that hit our hearts, I would like to invite and encourage my readers to remember the BraveWoman organization and mission.

Readers may recall my prior writings on this topic and will certainly understand why I am committed to spreading the word about the Brave Woman movement.

Brave Woman Mission ~

Leaving a life of domestic violence is a series of moment-by-moment decisions requiring brave choices and bold actions. It can be hard to believe in ourselves when we have been beaten down by circumstance.
There are brave women, just like you, all over the country. They are gathering around you with messages of overcoming life fears, picking ourselves up and trying again.  You are not alone, even when you feel small, unsure and maybe even terrified.

As women and supporters of Brave Woman band together, all across the nation, over the next couple of days to speak out and stand strong, I urge you to explore this important issue and take a stand by speaking out against both domestic violence and violence against women.

ONE in FOUR women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime.

Both my daughter and myself are survivors of crimes against women.  From our experience, we can assure you that there is a need for education, awareness, prevention, support and solidarity.  Our experiences illuminated a tremendous issue within the bigger picture: for every one person that reaches out a hand in support, there are countless others who shield their eyes and hearts to the violence right in front of them.

Stand Up, Speak Out, Support ~

Speaking out and extending your hand and heart is simple.

Take The Pledge - I pledge to honor and respect brave women and children who tackle the difficult journey of change from domestic violence to a new life. I acknowledge my own moment-by-moment bravery, will remain aware of what is happening to others around me, and speak up against violence in any form. I will stand up for human dignity and safety for women and children.  Take the Pledge.

Speak Out - send your positive message or video to share with Brave Women everywhere via the Brave Woman website.

Host An Event - partner with a local women's shelter, national organization, church or create a group among your friends and stand together, making a meaningful difference in this important cause.
