We already try very hard to live as green as possible. Our newest efforts this year will be to create even more natural gardens on our property made only out of natural rocks that were already on the property for pathways and retaining walls. We also incorporate and transplant the natural wildflowers already here like the wild irises and brown eyed Susans and then use the dead trees we clear to make the natural mulch for around the garden beds. Lots of hard work, but very beautifying and almost no cost.

It's amazing to see that they are affiliated with so many different organizations to maintain their commitment to these practices.
I reuse water bottles for like 2-3 months before tossing them out.
We also use the newer lightbulbs and recycle everything we can.
Old tires can catch fire in the dump! They also retain water where nasty insects can procreate and one out of every 5 PET plastic bottles recycled are recycled by Mohawk!
We grow and store our own herbs using recycled glass candle jars to keep them in. We also reuse food jars (pickles, pasta sauce) for storage and leftovers.

I learned that an average sized bath rug made with ecocotton recaptures over 4 pounds of cotton that would end up in a landfill.
I learned, and like that Mohawk has set goals to improve the efficiency of their water and energy use, and the resulting emissions, by 25 percent by 2020.
