Exploring October Baby Film & Novel ~ Life Unscripted

Although I always enjoy watching a good comedy and sharing chuckles with my son and rarely shy away from a stirring action flick for a date night with my husband, by far my favorite film genre are dramas I enjoy with the Teen Diva.  I crave films and novels that cause me to pause, reflect and reach for the tissues; plots that stay with me, long after the giggles have subsided and the explosion is over.

That being said, it is no surprise that I am looking forward to spending a date night in with my daughter, exploring the film October Baby, an exclusive Blu-Ray and DVD release at Walmart, Sam's Club and Walmart.com on September 11, 2012.

Synopsis

As the curtain rises, Hannah hesitantly steps onto the stage for her theatrical debut in college.  Then—unscripted— Hannah collapses in front of the stunned audience. After countless medical tests, all signs point to one underlying factor: Hannah's difficult birth.  She then learns that she was actually adopted after a failed abortion attempt.  Bewildered, angered, and confused, Hannah turns for support to Jason, her oldest friend. Encouraged by his adventurous spirit, Hannah joins his group of friends on a Spring Break road trip. In the midst of her incredible journey, Hannah finds that life can be so much more than what you have planned.

My favorite film genre is probably romantic dramas. My husband and I love watching them together (yes, he really does!). I have not read the novel, but I'd really love to watch the story!

I love movies that are either very very funny and make me laugh or those that are very sentimental. I am open to all movies with a great plot and story. I don't have a certain type that is a favorite. Rita Spratlen rjspratlen@gmail.com
