Party Themes - Birthday Party For Older Children & Teens

Get Your Child’s Birthday Party into Gear

We all know the challenge of organizing your child’s birthday party. There is a great deal of social pressure to make certain your kid’s party is just as big and fun and adventurous as the parties their friends host. On the other hand, you want to make sure that your son or daughter really does have a great time. Cakes, soda and pirate hats are great, but how about something a little more exciting?

There is not a kid in the country who has not raced around the yard during imaginary play.  Now that your children are a bit older, providing them and their party guests to a first experience of actually getting behind the wheel is a sure fire way to ensure your child's birthday party is a smashing success!

Karting is an increasingly popular activity among children 18 and younger. Many motorsport heroes got their first taste of the track behind the wheel of a 270cc engine.  Ayrton Senna and Lewis Hamilton were both karting champions in their youth.  While your child may not become the next NASCAR or Formula 1 champion, they will certainly have a lot of fun pretending!

With karting now so popular with kids and teenagers, many racing tracks out there are set up to specifically accommodate children’s parties. There are event rooms where you serve food to your guest, as well as play  games.  Of course, it might be better to leave the cake and soda until after they have finished whirling themselves around the corners on the track! Some tracks will offer complimentary juice, but you’ll probably have to bring your own food.

Not Forgetting About the Grown Ups

Remember when you threw your first house party? “You’ll never enjoy your own party,” your friends probably told you and, of course, they were right. So much stress, worry and preparation.  Funny how things don’t change as you get older!  Of course, now you are not worrying about spilled drinks or the TV getting smashed, your concerns now cover the range of boisterous children colliding and bumping heads. At least when they are out on the track, you have the assurance of knowing you have help in watching out for their safety!  Even better, these sites typically offer a special viewing area for parents to relax with a cup of coffee while still close enough to keep a eye on their young charges..

For your next children's party, consider taking them for a spin on your local Go Kart track.  Both you and your guests will appreciate the fun and ease!

Wow! How Cool! Thank goodness we're still into the little kids stage. I'm worried about how much it's going to cost when the kids get older!

My 14 year old daughter has been to several Paintball birthday parties too... she wants a climbing party - thinking outside the box is important at the early teen age... I'm sure she'd love go-karting if we had anything nearby!
