Safety Of Power On The Go ~ Medis Fuel Cell Emergency Power Kit

The Teen Diva is all worked up this week.  Not only is it her seventeenth birthday today, but today marks, to her, another occasion, nearly as important.  Oh, yes, our wireless contract expiration date!  Feeling strongly that her current phone is outdated, she has been busy exploring new models and has nearly made her decision.  On her short list, the latest iPhone version and the Samsung Galaxy SIII.  As we recently were afforded a chance to test the Galaxy SIII, I'm fairly confident about which she will end up choosing.

Hot New Phones, Best Phones To Gift, New Cell Phones, Samsung Galaxy SIII Review

Of course, choosing the right cell phone is only part of our challenge in keeping her connected. I would venture that she has not worn out her existing phone from constant and consistent use is a minor miracle.  It is certainly not an uncommon issue, that her phone's battery life is challenged in keeping up with her rigorous demands.  While most of the time she is able to recharge in the car or at home, looking ahead to both to the upcoming winter and spring lacrosse seasons, as well as sending her off to college, there are ample instances when an emergency power source would come in handy.  Necessary, even, if you were ask the Teen Diva.

Many of her lacrosse events put her out of easy access to stay charged up.  Trips with friends to the beach or amusement park, or even a malfunction with her car charger can leave her in the red, in regard to power.  Although her concerns only go as far as the next call or text from a friend, my concerns are more safety oriented, especially thinking of her on her own at college, far from home.

In truth, beyond the Diva's pressing power needs, our family often enjoys long hikes and boating trips while camping, situations in which an emergency need might arise and we are not as diligent as we should be in keeping our phones charged.  Certainly the brisk and often dangerous driving conditions in Michigan are enough to encourage drivers to keep an emergency kit at hand.  For that matter, even natural disasters could raise a need to have a convenient, alternative power source.

Power On The Go, Emergency Power Source, Back Up Power Sources

Considering all these potential needs, I was pleased to have an opportunity to test the Medis Fuel Cell Power Emergency Kit.  Lightweight and highly portable, this kit is the perfect solution for helping my family stay safe and powered up in any situation.  I have to admit, I was very skeptical at first, noting immediately that the system operated without batteries, but was incredibly surprised and pleased by how the unit performed.

No Battery Power Source, Portable Emergency Power Source, Medis Fuel Cell Review

Quite literally, you squeeze the center of the top of the Fuel Cell, plug in the power code, select the appropriate adapter to fit the device you want to power and you are in the green!

There are several features of this kit that we appreciated.  It is convenient: light weight and portable.  Perfect to include in a backpack, hiking pack, sports bag or in the vehicles.  I appreciated that it came with a full range of adapters, all the sizes and styles we would typically need.  Of course, the long life, up to a month, with no need to bother with batteries is a tremendous boon.  Even better, the Medis Fuel Cell is recyclable, with each kit containing  a special bag so users can ship the used unit to Medis for proper recycling.
I found the price of the Medis Fuel Cell to be quite reasonable considering how much power this kit contains, at $39.99 per unit, however I noted that one of our favorite green retailers, 3Gorillas.com, is currently running an incredible special on the Medis Fuel Cell Emergency Power Kit - only $9.99!  That's a steal and perfect for the holiday gifting!

I can understand your concerns for her safety and always wanting her to be able to have a charge on her phone for calls that may be needed if she needs help. This sounds like an valuable product.
