I love this idea and you have to be a strong person not to load them all up and bring them home with you! Maybe this year I'll try and do something like this on a regular basis.

Thanks for all the kind comments, everyone! We were so glad that one of the pups found a forever home that night and that the Humane Society was working so hard to encourage the adoptions of the harder to place animals, like the senior pets. Every time I think of poor Peter being on clearance, I just bawl like a baby! Whatever it takes, though!

We have an adopted shelter dog and he is wonderful. I wish we could give homes to more.

shelter dogs are people too! LOL<br />but really- they are so great. they have developed personalities, they have so much love to give- all our dogs have been shelter dogs, and we won&#39;t have any other kind.
